Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

It is a big company. The current projects are 18-20. The last 5 years the company has been struggling.Experience of doing good work in struggle In this company I have been taking all the experience from sales to Customers Relationship & possession to last 8 years. and It is a good experience to understand the customers and recover the flat money from them.
