Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

The company is best in terms of work environment. I liked working here as I was a part of such a big organization where I learned various Construction methodologies, Authority sanctioning process, Client handling, Software skills etc etc. Bonding between colleagues made it easy to work.

Dislikes

Work environment is good, but growth is bit slow. Compensation is'nt that satisfactory.
