Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Likes

Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salery hike and bonus every year. Teammates are supportive.

Dislikes

There is a lot of politics and the management doesn't address our issues salery is decent but career growth is very slow. On the job training is not given to new joiners.

It is a good company for learning and getting motivation from senior

Dislikes

Compensation is decent but growth is slow . The world pressure is very high . sometimes I have to work 12 - 16 hours straight in a day
