Technical staff like technical assistants in MGIRI do not have any promotion avenue for career growth. So they might be frustrated at some point of time. As other officer staff have promotions after regular intervals. This has happened due to lack of hierarchy in the promotion channel during framing of the recruitment rules of MGIRI.

Best place for research work. Peaceful working atmosphere. Freedom to do or initiate any research work useful for the public

Frequent changes in higher up post or competent authority post makes lots of differences. Many times institute is to function without authority post.

Working at mgiri I realised that I'm a youth and this place isn't for me. I'm not a person who's going to take a 15k stipend just to sit in a library, eat my lunch, do nothing and come back home. I did actually came up few ideas for small scale industries which the scientific officer I was under told me to send on his e-mail but never really took a heed to look through it or any interest.Its just like any other government organisation, slow and steady with no growth no interest or zeal to work. Overall I wasn't happy with what I was doing there so I left my project assistant job.
