Beside CSE there is no salary regulations followed in other departments. There is a clear cut discrimination between Punjabi and Non-Punjabi employees. Non talented and non deserving people are at higher position and they are dictators of LPU. They never respect honest, hardworking and talented people. The situation is worsening since COVID time. Employees were not paid to even sustain their two times food for their families. Assistant professor were paid 3000 to 6000 ₹ only during COVID while LPU got full fees from students. Higher authority said that during COVID there are no Kiosks and Hostels are operational so all faculties and staffs will not get full salary. Most of top position holders in LPU are characterless, they treat women staffs as their targets for harrasment, physical abuses, when a female staff oppose such favours to top position holders in LPU then such staffs are being fired without any reason. Research targets are unrealistic for most of the faculties, recently within a week two patent ideas have to submitted by every faculty member. HR head and IQAC head is making fool to employees when they ask about salary structure, increment and appraisal. This year LPU admission number fall drastically because Division of Admissions are full of corrupt and characterless people, they only crush the talents. One of the faculty who was PhD and Postdoc from NUS Singapore was given a task to paste the address of students for sending admission booklets at student's address. No one in LPU is allowed to say any positive things to concerned authorities. Chancellor and Pro chancellor are not approachable for faculties and staffs, they only call staffs to fire from LPU. Recently 15 employees have been fired from LPU, most of them served in LPU more than 10+ years.
In the Division of Academic Affairs LPU to evaluate teaching faculty high pressure is given to concerned by Head of division who is a characterless, he treats women as a entertainment material, you all will be surprised to know that HR of LPU know it very well, no action is taken against them for their such misbehaviour because they are at top position holders in LPU.
Increment and appraisal cycle is not fixed and fully biased.
So for employees nothing is favourable, everyone is doing work to sustain their families needs.
Well they are just looting the owner, making him fool by just showing the fake respect. Higher management taking all benifits all financial benifits and not thinking about the faculty,staff at the lower level. 24 hours lectures per week at different buildings, with rooms full of students,with camera and mic on, they have some useless departments created who will listen to you and write anything in feedback that can cut your leaves and salary anytime. They will not give you holiday. There are 8 leaves in 6-7 month semester. You can only take those leaves if you are taking all leave day lectures on other day. Students are also like faculty here. They are doing 9 to 5 job plus overtime. It's a money factory....someone sitting in other country is running the departments. No appraisals, two parents per faculty in single day plus they have to add HOD and HOS name in every patent which is compulsory. Useless seniors, no knowledge, if someone with good knowledge comes they try to throw him out. HR is enjoying department. They just want to hire and throw people everyday so that they can have justification for having so many people in HR. Useless departments created by higher authority to just save their jobs. No growth,no increments only discrimination. You can have three duties at same time in different buildings and you have to give explanation for that. No UGC no govt has say on it, only people with pressure are working there and still they are leaving. No quality of research, the research head always includes his name in any students paper. 6-7 lectures per day can be there minimum is 4. You will not get any personal time for family or studies. And they also think they are giving enough salary to this mental harrasment
...e a compensatory amount. They have 2 months of notice period, but that's a joke. No relief will be provided unless you complete the teaching duty till the last teaching day of the semester, else you have to pay 3-4 months of salary amount as a compensation. They also keep original 10th and Degree Certificate as a security which is another trap. I have never seen any organization keeping the original documents. This trap is preventing us from leaving the institute for better opportunities. You can't apply resignation on January, February or July, August as you have to pay 3-4 months salary as a compensation amount which is addition to the get relieved from last teaching day. So their is different policy for applying resignation in teaching and non teaching period. They are running this corporate factory with highly understaffed workforce. With only about 2500 faculty members for 60-70 thousand students, everyone is overworked beyond human capacity to meet unrealistic targets. We even don't have a dedicated lunch break in our timetable. We have to find some time between the classes to have some food. This toxic environment is stifling and far from conducive to any form of professional satisfaction or personal well-being. There is no flexiblity in your pedagogy if teaching. If you work here for more than 4-5 years then you will be having High blood pressure, stress, anxiety and hypertension for sure due to their unethical policies and you can do nothing about it.
Salary is paid on time.
Students are good and cooperative.
Dislikes
The working culture is at times toxic. The head of school was biased , incompetent and arrogant. A lot of faculties left in his tenure. Still after all this, The HR didn't question his attitude and intentions. The innocent , hardworking and genuine faculty was questioned now and then over his fake remarks . Ultimately, The faculty have to leave. They don't understand the importance of truth and someone who is actually committed rather focus upon sugar coated and superficial success.
Nothing to like for employees except job stability as attrition is very high so, less employee join. The university philosophy is that employee are helpless and their is availability for them.
1. During Covid -19 , the unauthorized and unintimated salary deductions 2. Excessive workload, 3. No transparency in workload, 4. classes has to take multiple blocks and 5. to much unnecessary work
