Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

The company is open to innovation and readily adopts latest technology. I love the fact that I am a part of a team that markets reliable, high-quality products and has a global client base.

Dislikes

Compensation is decent, but growth is slow. The work pressure is very high. Sometimes, I have to work 14-18 hours straight in a day as I have to attend client calls in the evening and sometimes late into the night. but they mostly go unnoticed during my mid-year appraisals. Also, there is no on-job training for freshers, hence senior folks like me have to guide them step-by-step, which is a pain sometimes.

Good work environment and culture. Teammates are supportive and the management. they give good salary and bonus.

Dislikes

Salary is good but career growth is very slow . There is a 10 month security deposit. It's can't given before 2 year complete.

...ining with my colleagues. They are very supportive to improve my working skills. Company gives me attractive salary and they give me travel allowance. They open to innovation and readily adopts latest technology. They are committed more meetings and motivation training classes. The working environment is good.

Company is good about learning and development. Happy to guide juniors. Company is near my house so I can get to my house daily.

Dislikes

Compensation is good, but growth is slow. Sometimes duty becomes 24hrs. Don't have offday on Sunday.
