Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

We can go work and learn any things from different areas if you are interested. For example if you are a sales person you are not restricted to work only in the defined area, you are allowed to go and indulge yourself in all the areas like QA, development, production, nobody will question us.

Dislikes

Adoption of new system or technologies is very slow. No rewards or motivation in working area.
