Nothing only stress and committee work.

Dislikes

They inbreed employees and do not treat people from other colleges well (in my department) Very poor research culture and a lot of politics within the department and management. Lots of committee works in ad hoc committees…numerous programmes and meetings to be attended without even giving a proper information about it. Not good for a career aspirant and ok for someone who is happy with 30- 40k (SF) and who can be a slave and cannot raise their opinion

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
