Unexpected job policies: stay or switch?
I recently switched jobs with a 48% hike, and my current in-hand salary is ₹35K. But after joining, I realized a few important things that weren’t mentioned during the interview. 1. No Phones or Bags Allowed – We have to keep them in lockers, which I wasn’t informed about before joining. 2. Working Saturdays – HR said all Saturdays are working but assured that one Saturday off per month would be introduced soon. I can't see that happening anytime soon 3. Phone Policy Confusion – When I asked HR why this wasn’t discussed earlier, they said it’s only for two months and won’t be the case at the new location (which was discussed earlier). But some old employees say the same rule applies there too. 4. Leaves – We get 21 paid leaves a year. I’m already thinking of switching. Would it be too soon to leave within 3 months, or should I stay for at least 6 months? Also, since I just got a good hike, how much can I ask for in my next job?

On time salary. Food, medical facilities. Culture depends on team. Some teams are good and some are bad. Now your luck.

Dislikes

South people has been more prefferable to higher managememt. Increment is too low. In probation period no leaves. Performance bonus is including in CTC. It will be paid to you on the month of july. If you put resign then u cant get your PLR amount.

Companies culture is really appreciable, our teammates are supporting in nature. Companies salary as well as travel plans are quite good compare to other competitors. Yes company is trying best to support their employees in this pandemic situation. They are taking all precaution in and out of office.

Dislikes

Compensation is good, but growth is slow and sometimes they are not giving importance to the people who came from other state. Also during appraisals time people will not giving importance to you which they are giving to you when they wanted to finish some work.

Less salary, Insider and outsider treatment, no work ethics,work-life completly imbalance, no proper travel policy (You need to reserve ticket for company travel with very less salary), horrible culture. Please dont get fascinated by seeing glass buildings from outside. Please treat this company as last option to work for.
