a. Good resume weightage that I am associated with such a big brand.

1. Salary rise YOY are not competitive as per market. In 2006, I was in Godrej and Boyce, I use to get minimum 10K as monthly salary increase in my appriaisal...In L&T, since i joined in 2018 - till date every year my increase is around 3K per month... 2. I am not getting what was promised as my CTC. End of the year when i check my actual received amount, I find I have received way less than my promised CTC. a. Incentives are drastically reduced to 50%. b. Mobile bills we get on actuals and not what is promised in CTC and that too subscription charges etc are deducted... c. Transportation charges to site are deducted per month. 3. System of Weekly off is not flexible. Any weekly off if we work then lot of justification is required for getting Comp off. I had to approach HR head - HQ for getting my teams approval for flexible week off as per the site requirement. 4. A retention amount is deducted from the CTC per month basis ( around 38K for me) and accrued till year end which shall be withheld if u resign and otherwise paid during the work anniversary month. Thats my CTC component, how they can withheld?. Unfortunately, thats a clause in joining agreement and I had to sign as I needed this brand mileage. 5. Working style in L&T - B&F is like working with old Govt institutions. Lot of time spent for any formal approval, reminder and multiple reminders - still work approval at stake. High revenue sites get high priority and low revenue sites like ours now are just on mercy sake.

L&T has a great brand value which give a lots of respect from various stake holders when we go out for meetings with Clients/Consultants etc. Also there is a lot of freedom given to the resource for experimenting and learning both while being on job. The Senior Management is easily approachable and they provide excellent guidance which helps the employees to excel in their careers.

Dislikes

The salary structure in L&T Buildings & Factories needs a serious brainstorming as there are other organisations which are offering nearly double the compensation outside. Also, we a company need to get rid of the Bell Curve rating system, which unnecessarily sacrifices the ratings of few innocent employees just to keep a handful of favourites (Employees) in good ratings as they should get offended, as if only they are running the company and the rest are merely giving their physical presence. Also, work life balance is a serious issue with people who are working on Project sites with extensive working hours, sometimes even more that 14 hours a day.

The work culture is excellent. Best place for learning & self development. Lot of exposure to various aspects of Accounts & Admin functions. Work environment is good with excellent teamwork among the staff members.

Long stretched working hours, especially at project sites. Salary & compensation not in line with the the Market.

work culture is such that it gives you an opportunity and freedom to grow and learn at the same time.

Dislikes

I believe the salary part needs to be restructured and aligned to the current market profile. Yearly payments like retention pay should be compensated monthly. this will give a right motivation to us employees and surely will give an edge over other opportunities available in the market.

Dislikes

Work Life Balance is Minimum. One needs to move a lot in various locations and there is no stability on that front. Punch in time is very strict and not feasible for Mumbai city. Appraisal system is not fair.
