Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Reasonable working hours 0900hrs to 1600hrs , ~25 working days a month for a reasonable salary. You have to use all your medical knowledge to advice, prescribe and refer patients to correct speciality if needed. Feel accomplished at the end of the day. Friendly teammates. Will feel bit overwhelmed initially seeing ~60 to 90+ patients a day ! (Depends on location of clinic conducted that day)
