I could learn the techniques involved in plant tissue culture and characterisation of the tissue cultured plants thoroughly. Wet lab was really good.

Dislikes

Salary was quite low as I was a research trainee. The thing I dislike was the politics among the Professors and departments. Sometimes it was hard to carry out our work because of their ego.

Likes

Great for a beginner in the field, with an emphasis on learning the ways of the R&D sector in agriculture.

Dislikes

Overworked professors being handed down the pressure from the superiors which gets transferred to the lowest rungs of the order to the 'pawns' i.e the so called temporary young professionals. No quality research work worth of value to the farmer community, only a medium to spend funds in the name of welfare .

Im working here as a project/ technichal assistant under the guidance of the principal investigator of the project. Here i could get lot of field experience in agriculture and forestry sector like management of agriculture farms and plantations. Here am earning a good remuneration Rs. 25000/- per month. It is very comfortable to work here in all aspects. But its a annual funding project and we cant decide its longability in the future. So that an seeking better jobs. Thank you
