Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Started off great with great plans. Teams are helpful and there were no issues.

Dislikes

Products are failing. New products are introduced without market fit. Revenue org is just pushing to sell even if it makes less sense Abrupt changes in structures in the revenue organisation. Any change that is made is not backed by critical thinking and data to support it.
