Status of PM$ and Purchasing module
The PMS - Purchasing in JiBe are in bad shape due to flawed technical design and reliance on problematic infrastructure. The PMS module has performance issues, with poorly optimized database queries causing delays, Purchasing module suffers from concurrency problems due to unstable API. The codebase is complex, making debugging and implementing new features a nightmare. components are outdated leading to frequent crashes and scalability issues. Development turnover is high, senior developers leaving and being replaced by juniors with limited experience, leaving the system in a mess. Sloman Neptun is actively evaluating if these products can even go live, but given the unresolved bugs and incomplete features, the outlook is grim. Fixes are often quick patches that create new problems, and critical updates are delayed indefinitely. Without a complete redesign and stronger leadership, these modules will continue to fail, disappointing clients and failing to meet industry standards.
