Good work environment and culture. Teammates are supportive and the management is transparent. There is a huge cafeteria and gaming arcade for chilling. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give bonus every year.

ITC is a place for learning and gather knowledge. Job security is very good no one would kick someone out except for policy violations.

Salary increments even for outstanding performance itself will be 5.5% of monthly Salary minimum is 2.5%. Promotions are given once in 4 years on an average for lower grade/level employees, only if the boss likes you not based on your output. Even if you complete B.E./B.Tech after joining it will not be considered for promotion. Appraisal methods are worst, they dont even tell exactly what the employee has to improve in the comments. Career growth for persons with a diploma is worst ever, diploma persons would retire from job even before reaching assistant manager level (Grade F). Gross CTC will be high but your actual take home would be 70-75% of gross CTC rest will be variable and PF. Work pressure is very high and increasing, work culture is also rapidly degrading in own manufacturing units during recent years. They don't show/give you the exact/full HR policy to employees at all. Even if you ask they will show the claim & reimbursement policies only. They will not open tell the requirements for promotions, sponsorship for higher studies, long unpaid leave for higher studies without sponsorship, consideration for transfer to other departments/divisions. No open forum discussions for issues highlighted by employees. They will not tell what feedbacks had been received exactly. But they will show some points for which they took action and create an image like they took action on all feedbacks. Main thing is that if you get a good manager you would get a better appraisal ratings and faster promotions otherwise you will be struck forever. Because there are a lot of employees even without a single promotion in 10 years also.
