I have been working at IORD for 3 years in the R&D department as an Embedded Developer. It has been an educative and rewarding experience for me. As a part of the R&D team, I get to work on projects in Energy and Electric Transportation fields which are genuinely groundbreaking in terms of innovation. It is so good to work at a company which believes in sustainable future and making a positive change to the world we live in. As contributors to a project, the seniors and management team value our ideas, opinions and efforts. This has been clear by the untimely appraisals that were awarded to our team just as a morale booster. Salaries, too, happen strictly on the 1st of the month which is a refreshing change in this industry where companies hold on to salaries for 10-15 days. I am also one of the lucky few who has been nominated for IORD staff housing scheme. Overall, if you are interested in a career in the future of energy and transportation, this is the place to be!

Dislikes

At times, work can be demanding. There are times when we put in extra hours to get things done. That said, it is fulfilling because the projects are challenging and we are all working together to get things done in the best possible way.

Likes

IORD has been a great learning experience for me as someone who manages the Client Relations team. We have some great industry-first energy solutions and the feeling of being in charge to take this to market makes me extremely proud. The team is supportive and there's great emphasis on collaboration and tackling forward-thinking challenges.

Dislikes

The job can be demanding at times. It's still a rewarding experience for me and my team since we know that we are bringing such pioneering technology to the market.

Learning and upskilling help from top scientists in the industry.. Working on disruptive technology.. Career growth.. Ownership of projects.. - management doesn’t interfere with R&D.. Purpose driven work.
