Likes

Better salary than most institutes.

Dislikes

No security, full of politics by management and the Registrar. Lots of unnecessary infighting and jealousy. No respect of the students, faculty or academia. Even the faculty staff members are full of insecurities and leg pulling. Not at all recommended. Better to go someplace else with lesser pay.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
