Job security is fairly good. Even those that do not perform are rarely asked to leave. Work-life balance is great. Huge opportunities to travel to remote locations. Huge opportunities to try new ideas. Good scope to expand the area of your work. Though opportunities to rise vertically are limited as all work is project based.

Dislikes

Crucial timely decision are never taken. If you are male, Christian (Catholic) and a South Indian the chances of your rising in the organisation are much higher. Talking about colleagues with the higher authorities is now being encouraged so there is often a not very pleasant environment. Salaries for most employees are now fairly competent.

Likes

The systems are in place, the work culture is highly satisfying. i was surrounded by seniors who are highly cooperative and appreciative of the work we did

Dislikes

The remuneration is quite low compared to the present day living expenses.

Likes

There are enough opportunities to learn and increase your knowledge base. You can also chart your own work content without someone peering over your shoulder constantly. At a junior level IGSSS is a good organization to work with and learn. At a senior level not so good.

Dislikes

The organization is not open to new ideas or innovation. It is rather rigid in its thinking and ways. Opportunities for growth and non existent. There is a strong sense of religiosity underlining the work culture. Decisions, especially hard and difficult decisions are not taken on time. It's a very frustrating organisation for senior people wanting to move at a fast pace with fresh ideas.
