Good environment of research, facilities, much more to learn new scientific techniques..
Dislikes
Discrimination on the basis of field of qualification, nature of employment .... administration shows no priority to process the official works of researchers, Rude attitude to talk to researchers..Permanent employees are in idle mode and have no fear of Head of the institute as no action is taken against them.. In spite of avoiding their duties in office hours, their Annual Appraisal Report is filled with highly adjective words in exaggeration... I have never expected this in such a premier institute... Every scientist and non scientific officers are responsible for all this happenings..
Salaries and TA advance of researchers is never released in time as it is considered as a non prioritized work....
Very sad to write it but it happens actually as I have seen..
Nothing much is there as good except if you are in a permanent position
Dislikes
Work environment is mostly restrictive rather then encouraging thuogh a lot depends on the reporting manager, salaries might get delayed, very less promotion
Wasteful research is going on. Contractual project employees like SRF n JRF or Young professional are not given value . On veterinary background people are given priority. Project JRF are given loads of work that too about which they are not described during selection. Their skills are not utilizes, they are given the work of PHD students. And PHD students don't work much. Employees who are temporary feel partiality. This is same for all departments. Permanent job may be okay. But the projects going on are not of much value. Private sector is better.
Partiality between veterinary students and non veterinary - life science employees.
