100%job security, opportunity for carrier growth,good salary,free travel facility within india.very good work environment but no politics etc.etc.

Dislikes

Work pressure is very high even I have worked sometime 10/11 hours.

.... Career Growth- There is time bound promotion and also Assured Career progress. Salary is as per 7th CPC. Pass facilities are for travel . Innovation in Railways is always taking place. Work environment is conducive.

Dislikes

I didn't dislike Railway job. It is challenging and designed to serve the Public. Yes some times dislikes rushed in on account of obstructions in working staged by rowdy mob instigated by Politicians for no fault of Railway and high work pressure. But those were short lived. Later on I derived great satisfaction on successful handling of the issue.

Likes

One of the corrupt organisation in history of india. It looted common people and salary gives to the officers only who are posted junior there benefits go on vein.

Dislikes

...torious staff and made him dependent on railways job he have no way to leave it. Juniors are getting very low as officers got 5 to 20 fold salary of juniors but there work is very poor even cbs, CMI/CCI even write a letter to officers just copy it forward it the officers. Seniors only know how to exploit this junior employee by not giving proper rest leave holiday leave etc

Likes

Railway never compromise with the safety of passengers. Never compromise with SOP ,quality of materials & maintenance of equipment. Jobs security is good.

Dislikes

...e joined Sr. Sec. Engineer through out whole service remains as Sr.Sec.Engineer. Salary structure is bad.

Dislikes

1. No work life balance (Saturday is not offs & an employee is expected to be available 24 hrs on duty), 2. No growth opportunities especially if you join at a particular Post (SSE), 3. Very poor work evaluation system leading to improper and mostly biased evaluation of employees promoting unworthy employees & resulting in low moral & enthusiasm in most Staff.
