The company is open to innovation and readily adopts latest technology. I feel proud that I was a part of a research team. We work independently as well as in collaboration in a very cooperative environment.

Dislikes

Salary is decent but growth is slow. Sometimes, I have to work 16- 18 hours in a day as I have to do cell culture and sometimes late into the night which is fine because cell culture demands time and patience.

Salary is uncertain and completely dependent upon fundings. It got delayed 2 to 3 months usually and ADHOC appointment is usually for very short terms one to two month's.

Some professors in the mining department are very approachable and friendly.

Dislikes

In terms of salary, it is inadequate. There are no opportunity for promotion in my job role, and job security is lacking. Work satisfaction is low due to lack of appreciation from professors and minimal prospects for career growth. Additionally, some staff and professors act with an inflated sense of self-importance and can be heartless, often mocking the struggles of others.

Only like working hours but still the situation of contractual employee is even worst.

Dislikes

I seriously dont like ....the attitude of IIT Kanpur's professors, their cheap mind for opposite gender frnds, salary and PayScale is very poor, .....very bad situation. They are totally disgusting, judge people on their cast, religion, and financial status.

Likes

The best part is the availability of resources be it an instrument, equipment machinery etc. You are the master of your own. You have freedom to show your skills n creativity without any boundaries. Work life balance is great. Work environment and culture is at par. And alot of scope of learning and growth in terms of new work that can lead to publications, patent, discoveries and innovation.

Dislikes

Remuneration is limited according to your skills, qualifications and experience. With little to no scope for increment, no incentives, no bonus etc.
