There is nothing to like, except discrimination.

90% of work force at IIMC managed through outsourcing, no job security, not maintaining the pay parity amongst employee. The lowest salaried IIM in India. No particular recruitment rules. Gratuity neither paid by IIMC nor by outsourcing agency. They can fire anyone whose face is not upto their own standard. Every department is headed by unprofessional officers so that, they can be moulded as per the wish of top hierarchy. The most unprofessionally managed Management Institute. It's seems to be working in the era of Mohd Bin Tughlak. Let's shift the capital from Delhi to Allahabad. That's why I'm this year's ranking they slipped one rank below after IIM Kozhikode. The day is not far away when, IIMC will be IIMC Z. The life of students who paid a sum of Rs 30 Lakh for a MBA is horrible. On asking AC in their room in this most humidifier area of West Bengal, authority looks like dumb. The present working body is most unprofessional and pets of present Central Govt.

The environment and work culture is good. It is specially favourable for working mothers.

Dislikes

There is no proper recruitment policy for employees. Salary is very low compared to industry standards and inspite of working here for almost 18 years, employment is on yearly contract basis with no statutory benefits.

Likes

Environment.... Flexible timing... Occassional late sitting. Sat & Sun off. Suitable for woman because of the timing.

Dislikes

Outsourced staffs have no proper promotion policy. Insignificant yearly increment for all. For direct payroll contractual staffs....no PF. Not a place for long term..... Only permanent higher officers level staffs enjoy everything

Likes

I liked nothing about IIMC. Only positive thing is that you will have Saturday Sunday holidays and 5.45 pm you will be released every day. Other than this nothing is good about this organisation.

Dislikes

Lots of politics and management is not at all responsive and responsible. No promotion or growth offered. Only 5% increment annually. No maternity leave, long medical leave, gratuity for contractual/outsourced employees.

Likes

Perfect work personal life balance , minimum work pressure.

Dislikes

No future scope for contractual and outsourced employee. Behaviour and attitude of higher management towards outsourced and contractual employee is not good
