...der when I joined this office leaving ABP group after working there for 24years. I left ABP because I wanted to work in a National daily where I was getting better salary and position.

Completly not Growing knowledge in Company. Company atmosphere and employee behave not good. Infrasturcture is not good. Admin Team always misbehave and arogently talking with the employee.

Likes

Negotiate, negotiate, negotiate. Once they know you are eager to join, they will not offer you a decent package. But the senior colleagues are excellent. Very helpful and approachable. If that sounds a good enough deal to you, then join, you won't regret.

Dislikes

They don't pay well. Salary is on time but they don't pay well.

Only Top Bosses does not understand what front line staff is doing But now in Express in CIRCULATION Dept all Employees of sales field are spending 40% minimum of there SALARY for Purchasing copies of NEWSPAPER & DO RADDHI so in short purchase copies from your salary Amount and INCREASE SALES - so in short there is No Readership for 40 % of CIRCULATION FIGURES

...f you're a good boot licker. Salaries are depressed like usual (media industry). Fancy designations will not assure you of a respectable salary. There is absolutely nothing called a bonus. A Diwali bonus is given after completion of a year which is 650 rupees and that's all you will get in the year. Only good thing about the Financial express (Indian Express Group) is that you get sat and Sunday off which is really good as not all journalists get their weekends off. Increments are extremely poor. People get 1000-1500 rupees hike if they perform well. Very good performers get around 3000 rupees. I worked for FE and the management is pathetic. It is there resolution to not let juniors grow because you might outshine anyone, so that opportunity will not be given. Once big fat crocodiles occupy a chair, it's too precious to let go. So the best they will do is stunt your growth.
