Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

I miss my teammates and my immediate boss and my female co workers from other departments.

Dislikes

Company culture was not good, this is one of the reasons to leave Imeco. Teammates were very co-operative no doubt about it. Training given was good because it was given by the outsourced organisation. The HR rules were very weird, first time in my life I saw such rules, were feeling like we were in jail. The Director would treat us like we are his personal servants and not employees.
