No growth prospects. The higher management is very insecure - never losing a chance to take credit for the work done by others. Most of the people here are waiting for their retirement. The HR has been given enough destructive power - will make your life miserable.

Senior leadership, HR policies, bad mouthing and back stabbing. Senior leadership and HR are pals. Not to be trusted. Also, DRF, is not a part of IITB. It's their fundraising arm. Don't be fooled when people say you will work for IITB. YOU WILL WORK ON THE IIT CAMPUS BUT NOT FOR IIT.

The prevailing culture here is heavily influenced by your boss's attitudes and behaviors. If you have a competent and reasonable boss, you're in luck because they will create a positive environment for you to thrive in. They will provide support, protection, and opportunities for you to excel and grow professionally. However, if your boss is insecure and lacks the necessary skills, your experience here will be quite challenging. You may find yourself constantly stressed and overwhelmed. Unfortunately, around 90% of bosses exhibit such characteristics here. The culture here does not align with the typical culture found in NGOs/Foundations. The HR in this organization has a poor reputation of being dishonest and making false promises. It is advisable to be caution and take everything in writing before joining the company. For some teams the work life balance is better than others. Some teams have to at times work on Saturdays without any comp off or additional payment.

There is zero to no strategy or plan to execute the vision of the Institute. It's almost embarrassing & disheartening to see the leadership team being clueless, incompetent, insecure and lacking basic skills to manage their functions. Success here depends only on how well you navigate your way through politics and lies and play favorites with the bosses than genuine contribution or merit. But when things go wrong you will be throw under the bus in no time! The HR lacks integrity, honesty and authority. The CEO tends to credit only the VPs, making the rest of the team invisible. And the VPs are unapologetic of stealing your ideas and the work done by you and take all the credit for it.

If you are good at playing politics then please go for it. You should be good at applying maska on your boss. 90% people survive like this in DRF. Your appraisal is based on amount of Maska you apply. CEO is sick person and you will see lot of favoritism in the organization. No job security at all. If you are good in work and bad in buttering your boss, please do not join this organization. Some of the VP's will torture you like anything. No professionalism in this organization. No respect for employees and their work. Seniors are greedy for eating credit of your work. You can be fired without giving any reason. No defined policies and HR is powerless.
