I have done internship in IBM -ISL for 6 months of time. In that span of time IBM have conducted multiple trainings on latest technologies . It might help employees to increase their skilset and contribute more to the company . But am not allowed to those training , because am an intern . Overall I have a very good experience with IBM. Moreover, IBM is my dream company.

Working from Paying guest House:- This is only best thing I had but it depends on your manager. Teammates: Some teammates were really good and helpful. They always advised me on a pragmatic approach.

...ds on your luck. not by your performance. They judge by Brand not by material. Salary Increament: It does not depend on your performance. It depends on your good relationship with your boss. Politics:- A lot of politics here, really a lot.You may find some persons always trying to give a negetive picture of yours to your manager.Side by side they also hide there inefficiencies. Imperfect Workload Distribution:- Very few persons were doing 90% of the total load and the rest are doing 10%. Sometimes I had to work on holidays or 10-12hrs a day.Once I had to do my job even I had poor medical issues. Transport System: It is perhaps worst among all other IT industries.Much possibilities are there that you might not get it someday. So these are my remarks.I hope It wont hurt anybody. That is why I left this job and preparing for my new way of life. This Brand culture is very popular in IBM India Pvt Ltd. Conclusion:- To new IT aspirants I must say Please make sure that you get only what you love to do.Please dont let anybody to force you or deceive you with tedius job profiles. Believe it or not its up to you,but it is the truth and It all happened to me.:(:(

The hire at a high salary thenk keep you on bench. Then they ask you to resign as you are on bench. Don't resign.

They don't have any project or requirement. They just hire you to fill their bench. You will get project interviews but none of them will hire you even if your interview was good. And if the interview was bad they will send that review to your WFM which they can later use to justify ending your employment.

Salary is decent in India Software Labs, equivalent of Tier 2 PBCs. RSUs are also given to employees who perform well. IBM has turned its tech suite around after the RedHat acquisition, even for z/mainframe products. Newer tech stack is being implemented at breakneck pace, enough to overwhelm senior developers as well. Lots of opportunities to learn new stuff, including agentic AI. Job security is better than other PBCs for employees who perform well, but expect PIPs.

You will get stuck in one job band for a very long time. Promotions from 7B to 8 are very hard in particular. Also, IBM India is the only entity among all IBM entities to have A and B subbands till job level 7 (tech lead), effectively prohibiting your growth to a decision-making position for a longer time. Indian management, especially managers who have moved laterally from IBM Consulting, is extremely orthodox, and technically inept. If your product delivery is controlled by an onshore lab (U.S., U.K., Germany, etc), expect the Indian management to have no understanding of what it is that you are doing on a day-to-day basis, and to be at loggerheads with the onshore managers. You, an ordinary employee, will no doubt be caught in the crossfire.
