The only dislike in IBM is its Salary Hike/Appraisal and promotions are most of the time year based instead of performance until you are highly exceptional and too critical mostly in services based accounts.

As a graduate hire I learnt so many things in IBM technical as well as soft skills. IBM policies are very good. Company provides laptop from day 1 to all employees and most of the rules are based on value "Trust". If one got good project, person can stay long in organisation.

Policies are good but all of the above, most of the things like learning, salary raise, work life balance depends on project and manager.

Medical insurance and other benefits are average. No cab facility for us . Most of team members reporting that they have less work life balance and additional working hours.

Job security - there are so many projects. If you are on bench then don't worry if you have skills.

There is nothing like annual/yearly appraisal. You can be on same package for 4 years no matter how hard you work. They will only point out for "out of the box like independently developed some AI toll or equivalent to it" thing and at this point you will loose the battle. If you are okay to get yearly 1-2% hike on overall package then only you should join
