Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

The company is educational institution so company ensured quality of teaching and other services. i carry the work of regilar reviw of students progress and conducting examination. also they provide chances for assisting the study material preparations and check the internal control system.

Dislikes

Compensation is decent, but work is not related to my study. opportunity for growing is less.
