They will tell you that something big is coming in terms of investment and in hope of getting pending salary you will continue working. Now when couple of month salaries are pending you will not able to leave in fear of loosing all your pending salaries. HR is never online and never respond to your queries. DONT JOIN THEM.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
