1. Poor compensation. 2. Place is filled with vendors which affects the team culture alot. Vendors generally agree to work longer hours, which forces entire team to work longer. 3. Technology exposure is very limited. 4. The cool factor with software engineer is missing because decisions are largely bank influenced.

Likes

Two things are like about working at HSBC : work life balance and Job security. Salary pay hike is according to market standard.

Dislikes

Travel: Only short-term travel for 2-3 weeks You wont get chance to work on new technologies. Career growth is very slow.

Fixed compensation, scope to learn any technology, moderately safe for job security till consultant specialist, many online subscriptions like Coursera, orielly, linkedIn learning etc.

Dislikes

Only dislike: Everything is manager dependent, if you get stuck old technology and if there is not kuch work under your manager, tough to switch teams and technology.

The company is open to innovation and readily adopts latest technology. I love the fact that I am a part of a team that Global Services Delivery quality service and product and has a global client base..

Dislikes

Compensation is decent, but growth is slow. Managers don't value an individual unique strengths, which is why I have to take back my suggestion most of the time. I do receive appreciation email from my client, but they mostly go unnoticed during my year appraisal.

Likes

It’s a very good place to work in Hsbc. You can find very good colleagues and good salary. You can learn politics as well. Have very good chances to do innovation activities. Work life is wonderful.
