New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

I love to work with this company from my starting career as fresher. It always supports me to improve my career growth to give new live project working with the latest technology. As of skills and performance improve, I got a nice salary/appraisal. Company work environment so well as compare to other company that why I do the job from the last couple of years. Another plus point is that all my company colleagues from various cultural backgrounds, and we work happily in collaboration. Mine is a mostly US and UK based client so I can improve my self as communication skills in English. Company HR policy and Leave policy are good that other employees happily join and enjoy his/her work.

Nothing much dislike from this company but as of new project coming, sir will not take the full requirement from the client. So as of project work going on many changes come and deadline extended.
