Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Entire team of Mumbai Branch.... Newbies please join a very good MNCs out there... Avoid this company... They do have reputed projects but in the long run you won't be able to survive financially as they don't pay good nor any promotion in the long run... Or better change your career and stay away from this industry if you want to succeed in future both professionally and financially.
