the hospital and staff is very supporting . for covid the screening is being done of each and every patient including staff and doctors before entering the hospital and opds. The campus is also very good with greenary everywhere with neat and clean environment.

.... Promotions are also time bound and gives opportunity for personal development. Another plus point is salary packages are very transparent and does not differ from person to person.

The only negative point is its quite far from main Dehradun city (around 1 hour) so some of the ammenities are not available near by.

I dislike politics and leg pulling of employees by other colleagues. Management did favourism of their known persons bcuz of that other person felt helpless. Specially Christian people did this kind of behaviour Your institution did not value for hard work

I have seen young residents begging for mercy didnt like even a single thing there apart from good scenery.

Dislikes

I wish the concerned authorities would try and act to make the environment a little bit suitable for learning instead of making the residents their personal servant at himalayan institute. Every day a resident here wishes to leave his course and run away with few such incidences as well ...residents are made to do things wich are to be done by ward boys like opening department taking patients from ward to opd etc. Also the learning is absolutely zero even third years are not doing basic surgeries because conultants themselves are busy gobbling up all the camp patients Till late night around 3-4 am residents are busy collecting id's of patients and making files In morning they are shouted upon by seniors in top of their voices even on little spelling mistakes and insulted shamefully And no one to listen to their distress. No patient management no surgical exposure if you want a degree in how to become a servant and forget you ever existed join eye department here. These people have used residents to save up their money for hiring ward boys .
