its a government organization, so all pros and cons are of working in central government. A sense of working at something which directly affects the armed forces is the biggest point of satisfaction.

Terrible Group A Cadre ruining the organization. They don't have any knowledge but enjoys all decision making power, more often than not, the decision is like Tughlaqi Farman. They have inferiority complex regarding their cadre,. Not being able to clear railways or other better organization or cadre not at all comparable to UPSC IAS or even states PCS cadres, they are only engaged in internal politics. Group B or Industrial employees are no better, most dont want to work for more than 2-3 hours a day. Only few Hard working employees are taking the burden of all work and are entirely responsible for making organization somewhat functionable.

Nothing to like about this old British type mentality working government organisation.

Dislikes

Everything. Of you are native tamilnadu then it is your area of work. If you are not local then avoid this due to local health condition of food, water & environment it make impact on your family life & performance. Morning 8 am to evening 6 pm duty hours. Only sundy holiday but if they want then they call on Sunday and it is mandatory. Yearly 12 holidays. Only South holiday are accepted. If you take leave more than 7 days without prior permission they take action on you to remove for your job like you are their slave. Every time you have to take permission for leave if not then they are not accepting your leave application and you are not get paid for those days. Not good management compared to other OFB factory. Poor promotion schemes. More work than private organisation compared to benifit. Not good for life time job opportunity due to management & government actions. And much more.
