Hcl is nice organization to work. It gives good package and benefits. Work life balance is poor if you are working for client.

Appraisal is not satisfactory. No promotion for 4 + years of experience in hcl. Working for client is hectic

HCL is meant for job security. No doubt in that. Even we are in bench we will be credited with on time salary without firing employees. Their are lots of projects and many clients so no need to worry for projects.

Dislikes

Mainly hike and sometimes micro management. This is the reason most of employees leave hcl. They care about clients. Only clients.. even if you're dying out of work load no consern from their side. And clients don't have time to give you proper inputs at work but need excetution.we have to act like genius and work independently. Upon that these HCL PPL are back of doing daily, weekly, bla bla frustrated meetings every day. Not leaving us to do work peacefully. If you are a experience don't recommend. Take good hike at the time of joining itself.

...Infrastructure, Good Stable Company, good for the people who likes Job security! Salary is always on time, very good medical facilities and others employees' benefits. Overall, it is very nice company for sure!

Salary is on time but other incentives, your promotion, your bonus, your increments etc are in Arrears, You will get it for sure but always in arrears, HR is not at all effective. Just like your Job which is stable, your salary will be stable as well, please do not expect any other thing except Stability. Company culture in terms of HR is not at all good, no major governance towards how management is calibrating an employee, how promotions are happening? That is the only reason I left HCLTech, otherwise, in other domains, might be the HR as people doing good things. HCLTech is a beautiful organization but some wrong people who are in that position to spoil the overall experience and culture, My advice is to hire good mature people in leadership positions and especially in HR domain. Please save this beautiful company and I'm the sure the top management are doing lots of things to streamlines the process down there but really need to put strong governance on middle management, specially in HR domain

More than 6 months delay in appraisal cycles. No appraisal if you are L3 band and above 20LPA. My last two appraisals were zero. Management politics. Management too much egoistic.

...ies. Unnecessary cost cuttings Work life is not balance in most of the projects. No growth no promotion no salary hike. They always expect your contribution in more than one project.
