Better may be job security. Salary hike not that good may be around 5% if your rating is average/good. Learning depends upon the project, in my project learning was not that great and was a legacy project. Salary may be little better initially.

Dislikes

Job may be at risk if they are not generating a good revenue out of that specific product in product and platform division of HCL. no option like switching to other project in product and platform division of HCL.

No Salary hikes, no promotions, no value for the head wor, appraisal process is worst process I feel like it is a scam to escape hikes. Salary will not at all depends on rating, no use if you get Distinction performance or Exceptional performance, no good projects, no growth, even freshers will get good salary than experienced, difference college people get different hikes for freshers if you are coming from top colleges you will get good salary when you join as freshers

I like the IT environment since I am from Mechanical Engineering background.

...y members, caste, favouritism for Managers, Business Department Unit heads, etc. No regulated salary packages. example: new Joinee (either IT or Non-IT) receives more than 5-7LPA, but experienced person (Non-IT) receives less than 7 LPA even the employee was loyal to the team & organisation.

...n client location and close the contract in short notice once everything is set. Never allow to be a FT employee to their clients Deduce the variable pay and put huge amount in variable pay, something around 16 to 17 percentage.
