It’s a good company to start off early in your career and the starting pay is good compared to average market rate. And management doesn’t bug you beyond your work hours so that’s good work life balance.

Dislikes

The salary increments are poor and there is virtually no perks or benefits. There is no vertical scaling so you quickly get left behind in terms of growth and compensation in comparison to the market.

There’s work life balance in Hatch, you can manage work and personal life very well .. not much pressure whether its IT or Recruitment or Finance.

The only drawback I find is that there’s not much appraisal here, neither monetary increments nor appreciation for hardwork. You could work so well for a project and no one would appreciate for the outcome, even if it gets noticed and you expect appraisal at the end of the year…there’s 3-4% hike maximum, which is extremely low!

Work environment and management. No politics. Flat structure is there, so it's easy to reach the upper management.

Dislikes

Increment done is very less, so would suggest to negotiate at the best level, at time of joining.

Not much but the job security is there

There is high competition and work pressure. Competition is created by fellow colleagues, no matter how much Hatch says they have amazing work culture but in my 10 months of experience working here I am only seeing people who always try to defame others infront of manager to get good appraisal & appreciation for their work. This is unethical but still I am trying my best to complete atleast 1 year here. Saturdays are fixed off but there is so much work that it never gets completed till Friday midnight so mostly I am working on weekends aswell. Some teammates are from USA & Canada so meetings go till 10- 11 PM for me in India, which is exhausting. These things were not told by the recruiter before I signed the offer letter. Also after 2 years one is eligible for any appraisal that too 5-7 % only, and it completely depends on the manager you get! I have heard about my manager that on 3rd year onwards she gives any appraisal no matter how hard working someone is. So I am considering even if I complete 2 years here, it's very hard to get that 5000 hike! If someone don't have issue working 9AM- 12AM shift (which was informed as 11AM- 7PM) then you may go for it. They will not terminate people unless someone gets sick of the culture and resign themself!

Hatch is a good company but it's the old people (especially when they have no skills and technical knowledge) who are making it worse and toxic for new people. If you are ready to please them you are good and get praise. In case, if you are not ready to do the same then you will be judged and be ready for humiliations, irrelevant allegations and blame game. Those oldies have made this company a chacha tau company where there is no value of hard and good quality work. No email etiquittes, knowledge...nothing, I wonder who approved them and how they have been selected. Also, they don't know the meaning of "confidentiality" as they always used to reveal such things right away. Such incapable managers are leaching on this company and I'm sure they won't go anywhere and in the end it is you who have to give up and switch your job as management or anyone will never support you.
