Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Very friendly boss and overall behavior. Can get comfortable too easily.

Dislikes

Bad management, gossip, weird politics, will delay your appraisal for months, not have a proper hr and won't give anything written to you. Senior employees think they own everything. Try to get in the way of progress. If you get hired you are expected to perform well, but no one tries to find out your true potential or retain you. It's a training academy.
