There is nothing which can be liked about the organization which hides terms and conditions with contract employees before joining.

Dislikes

I was recruited as a consultant for Google on payroll of Optimum Infosystem. My interview was conducted by a Google payroll employee who did not mention anything about a clause that my contract will not be renewed beyond 2 years. The contract letter which i signed with Optimum infosystem also stated that contract will be renewed every year ( Contract will renew beyond 2 years was no where mentioned). After joing Google I gradually came to know that contract employees are not kept beyond 2 years ( this being Google's global policy). Secondly during employee engagement activities Google on roll employees were allowed to bring their family members but contract employees were not allowed. This clearly shows the inclusivity aspect being missing in one of the most preferred companies to work for. This even would act as a discrimination factor where particular set of people are considered privileged while some are not. I was also told by my reporting manager(a google on roll employee that i should consider my employment at Google as paid MBA ( Point to be noted that i am already a fulltime MBA and had prior work experience of 9 years as onroll employee with one of the largest telecommunication provider globally. This clearly reflects that people who are on roll Google may have inferior perception about contract employees ( as was in my case). I would also like to state that during my 2 year stint the category i was responsible for grew multifold as compared to the period before I had joined. The most upsetting/dissapointing part is the organisation which portrays itself to be one of the most preferred places to work has such colonial/aparthied approach to people who work for it.
