New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

Higher management cares for their employees. In lockdown, factory was closed and work from home option is given.

Dislikes

They did the pay cut nearly equal to the last year increment amid lockdown. Policy is little bit tricky. Appraisal process is not good. Not getting learning opportunities in my division. Process and work is slow.

Godrej is very good company to work . I have been working since 2013 . Joined in Project execution department with in 6 year time span got all exposure of Project management skills like purchase , contract , logistics , design and engineering , etc through job rotation .

Just worried about KRA. 7.Tactically forcing to work on holidays. 8. Apply techniques to prevent taking leave 5 days or a week vacation. 9. Full of devil's advocate

Salary, hike and bonus were good. Flexible working time. Little exposure to the warehouse operations. No layoff.

No work from home option. More SOPs. No proper data storage of projects. Attrition rate is high. From the view of design and manufacturing, very few learning opportunities are available. Replacement of leaving employees takes more time. Work pressure is high.
