GF salary Vs. My salary
Me and my gf have been dating for 5 years. Back in 2020, I started my career with a package of ₹5 LPA. Over the years, I’ve reached ₹22 LPA in 2025. She started her journey with ₹3 LPA(2020) and is now earning ₹8 LPA(2025). We’ve been in a live-in relationship for around 2 years, and the idea was to share expenses equally. But, equal sharing never really happened. If we go to a café she likes, especially with friends, I will pay the entire bill. We only split the house rent and grocery bills. I told her lots of time to cut down these costly cafe expenses or earn more money, increase your package, study and work hard, but.....she is now in her comfort zone. Being from a tech background, I have seen people upgrade their skills and package for a good life in metro cities. I am ready to support her in her studies, but she is like I am earning enough for myself.... No, you are not. I love her, but I don't know how to overcome this issue between us. Please suggest!

Dislikes

Favouritism is at peak. Back biting culture & internal politics are increasing a lot and yet higher management are unaware of this. No promotions are given if you are not a bootlicker. Show off matters more than the actual work. You need to show to your managers that you are working after office hours especially in production groups to increase work visibility. If you are just committed to office hours and get things done, still managers will taunt you regarding this in appraisal meetings.

Dislikes

>controlling the team in toxic way >Never approving leaves quickly, especially for long weekends >No professionalism at all(calling people chacha and all) >They can't manage project themselves, but blame falls on solution engineers >No understanding of the product, yet they expect work to be done blindly without any knowledge >work pressure is too much >Instead of hiring more solutions engineers to distribute the workload, they focus on extracting work from half of them >They will make you do 2 years worth of work in 1 year and if you can't you are labelled as incapable and unsupportive of the team >Timelines are set by the managers and directors not you. You have to work only like a donkey >Extreme favoritism exists >If you ever give constructive feedback to upper management, it is seen as "complaining" but they never realize their own flaws. >They make the entire MEA team dance to their tunes without considering anyone's opinion >Work till 2AM wake up again at 10 AM >The biggest problem is - There are too many people to get work done( who know nothing about the product) but very few actually doing the work. At times, you will feel like 10 people just want to get work done from you, but you are the only donkey executing everything. >The time crunch is extreme - you will always work as a shared resource between 2-3 managers. You won't have independent choices, and your work will only be considerred if you blindly follow orders otherwise even after working for 14 hours a day is useless. In short, just follow the managers and the directors. >You will be obligated to respond to clients even in the off-hours >No personal life-Managers will always be on your Whatsapp. Calling you whenever they feel like it.In short, you are recruited in MEA to work 24*7. >Forget about long weekends it is seen as a bad thing there. >Appraisals are purely based on favouritism. >Extreme internal politics- feels like a school environment, where people will complain about you report what you said, did etc. >Micromanagement is so bad that if you take a break and talk to someone you might get interrupted every time with "get back to work". If you laugh, it simply means you are not interested in working that's how griesome the environment is. > Official time is 10AM - 11AM but there is no exit time. >No HR help for your work life balance they will make you feel the rage
