Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Currently the company is going in an aggressive mode, which is good for the organisation and the employee can apply himself. Employee is given freedom of expression in work. There is work-life balance.

Dislikes

There are issues at management level, this has led to an unstable environment in the organisation, eventually an insecure environment to employees.
