I love the enabling culture and environments promoted within the business allowing us to embrace company values considering diversity. Working conditions are favorable and open to innovation and high performing work force. I also love the fact that I'm part of a high performing finance team that renders a quality and timely financial performance reporting to business partners. Having to stretch my services over 2 Operating Units, I travel across provinces ensuring that I support both General Managers and their executive teams optimally. Even though colleagues are from different cultural backgrounds, we work happily together. I also love the conditions of service and the safe and caring culture embedded.

Dislikes

Compensation is good, but growth is slow as the company is trimming down on resources. Due to the moratorium of not replacing vacancies, teams are tasked to achieve with lessor human capital.

Likes

I have worked for Eskom for 31 years it was one of the best companies to work for. This all changed when we became a Government owned company and corruption started to creep in and today Eskom is technically bankrupt.

Dislikes

I was a proud guardian of Eskom but all has gone wrong. The new builds are in such a mess and our old plants are not looked after. The workmanship and the ownership of your plant does not exist anymore...
