The company is trying to do to for citizen of India. That's inspiring! Some of the leaders are really great.

Dislikes

Company culture is good but not followed within the teams. Micro-management and mentorship is missing.

The org has a lot of funding. If it stayed true to its spirit, there's a lot of potential to be achieved too.

Dislikes

The org is one of the biggest examples of bad management. It's a top heavy organization with top down leadership and a lot of micro management and lack of trust in its employees. The leaders, as all employees clearly agree in intimate settings, are mostly imposter. Jojo Mehra who leads the product team is a literally a fraud. He has no background in product but somehow has faked his way in. In 2 years of his time at the org, he hasn't managed to bring any product thinking to the firm and no new products have been shipped. Manish Srivastava, the CTO, is a most insincere CTO who doesn't like to go deep in tech. It has been more than a year he has been around but still doesn't exactly know how the platform actually works. He operates at a very superficial level and again, doesn't trust the abilities of people. The CEO, Viraj Tyagi and the other leaders too are basically stooges of the Nandan Nilekani ecosystem. Tyagi has no new thoughts to offer and like the other leaders, recycles thoughts of other people in the Nandan ecosystem. Viraj is extremely disrespectful and conservative in his behaviour. Only male leaders, from upper caste are his recruits and deeply distrusts female colleagues. Recently, a lot of ethical issues have also crept in. Tyagi has recruited his wife to a very senior role in the org, without any recruitment process whatsoever. He also fires people who disagree with him. One thing common about the organisation is, none of the people in the leadership actually demonstrate any expertise or sincerity towards work and almost take this place as a safe retirement hub as they draw a lot of salary without delivering any tangible output.

The people are helpful, we've got a good cafeteria with everyday lunch served!

Dislikes

No proper increment for employees. Wrong hiring for wrong skillset. People with no knowledge about a skill can be assigned your manager which lead to quarrel between the team.
