Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

DMCC portrays itself as a great organization. The HR continuously tries to keep up the employee engagement.

Dislikes

The annual increments are very poor. This is not the organization to grow and prosper. This is a place to park for a year or 2 and leave. Emiratisation has made things worst in an organisation which already could not provide options to grow. If you wish to do something great in your career, this is not the place. However, if you are among the people who just wanna do their job and chill, DMCC is a decent place. Organisation culture is also poor.
