Dislikes

Your work will not be valued. Poor salary package. No job security at all. It is like an one room flat than a proper office. They will force you to work more than 12 hours every day. You will not get salary before 20th of every month and forget about travelling allowance. No career growth Just waste of time and energy.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
