Great team, friendly seniors, will support you as long as you are required for the job

Dislikes

Frequent changes in assigned projects, one of the directors (managing partners) cannot give-up ego, makes bad decisions and is primarily responsible for many good employees leaving the organization. Moreover, there is a policy of retaining a part or whole of the "notice period" salary. You get appraisals/rewards only if you "praise" or allow yourselves to be a puppet of the owners.

Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
