Dislikes

Work life balance You will have to work like a dog mostly. Most of the time u have to work extra hrs which are unaccounted.no holidays on public leaves that means you wont be able to celebrate with your family most of the time.2 week offs are there but you will use it for sleep only as you will be physically exhausted completely after the 5 days worklife. Have to please everyone if you want to grow in the company.

32 leaves 2 week off but trust me you will fookedup one day This place is amazing for people who don't studied too much Like for this company you should hire housekeepings trust me they will bless you instead of hiring from good colleges

Everything After having 3-4y experience getting only 30k in hand During appraisal when we ask about salary they were said we get only 5-6% appraisal for country because country is De growing so you will get only this amount 1-2m hike Skill only developed for a guy who have better licking properties, Worst managers no sence of logics . Some time seems like working with narrow minded kids. There were a store where i joind recently Trust me chutiyo se bhara store i have ever seen, they organise meeting on Saturdays They hire people from MCDONALDS, where is the standard Decathlon Very degraded the hiring criteria No respect of experience guys Store manager abusing teammates in fun Ethics is only in documents in Decathlon or in during trainings I never suggest the guy who skilled

There is no boundaries to learn in decathlon you can learn and approach any leader out there and get your doughts clear over there. And there are negative points as well You'll be never paid fair.

...is no such thing called T1 and T2 cities hence we don't give hike basis on that.But why there is salary structure difference in same roles in T1 and T2 cities. 2. Politics :- my pervious managers was always do the partying with other persons on the same role as me and always do the gossips at the same time. I was always bold to say things that they are not doing right but what happens they will make your image in front of zonal manager bad saying he's not good guy and always create problems. 3. Even when you have done lot of things proposed same things and delivered lot of profitable results in any field you'll be given same hike as the person who's not doing anything and licking the foot of the manager. 4.For the same role and responsibilities you'll be getting more layout in other stores. I'll say 30-40% extra. 5.work life balance:- here even if you work 48 hours continously work they will still say you haven't done anything and they'll not. Since these people don't have there own personal life outside they don't understand what is life outside work.

... it but if you can hamper personal time then it would great learning for you. Do not get amazed to see the salary structure of OSL that i have written below its no easy task to get hired as Full Time OSL unless or until you are able to confidently speak(communications), Have some experience or skills like Excel(not basic excel😂),PPT,Doc, organisational,Team leading with good strong behaviours & you are very clear to have future in Decathlon only. Still you might be offered only PT role coz we can't take risks.

Biggest -ve would be the work life balance, No matter your WO or leaves whole day you'll have something in your plate left to do your manger may not ask you to do work outside store but you'll do yourself to grow . After devoting 4 years to this company i am kinda stuck at same role not able to perform really well or change it to other sectors of decathlon. First salary regardless of role is very good but the increment is very very hard to get unless you have done something extraordinary (5-7% in avg hike). 5 is what I got with average performance. With my current skills that i have learnt within organisation an Dept.Mamager in Decathalon can easily get Store manager in other small brands with much higher salary say 50-70% hike which is what my knowns are getting. It's the case with DMs only since for further roles(Operations,SM,Retail manager) the basic salary has been increased by 20%. You'll also see biasness is name of Gender diversity, i have seen females with less skill set getting much better opportunity to their male counterparts who may have higher skill/experience or even performance still, Decathalon has to promote women leaders this is evident with a lot new female Dept. Managers being promoted earlier if you've decent skill/performance also with new connect type store (small size) opening we can see more women store managers or if you coming for recruitment chances of female getting hired is much higher. Whereas a male has to perform extraordinarily best to grow ahead a bitter truth that all the RMs knows but will not accept it cause its against the value of company(⁠+⁠_⁠+⁠) Edit: Dept Manager salary has been increased recently by 38k & though basic OSL salary has already been hiked from 25k to 28k, but again see the %difference, Coaches are working much ore than the OSLs still the average hike & compensation is really less.

Dislikes

There is no politics but the management is poor,who doesn't address the issue. Starting salary is good but career growth is super slow. There is no bond,you can leave anytime on the probation of one month. On the Job training is the best thing Decathlon could have. But new joinees doesn't get the chance to know all of it
