Just fake big brand name

Dislikes

3DS policies are tricky. Less benefits, in hand salary. No proper perks. Worst brand Medidata. Worst type of work. Spoiling good employees career by assigning any work. Just old tech stack. No work life balance. Lack of skilled managers. Conduct interviews on weekdays, weekends without any compensation. Guide juniors all the time, drive meetings. Managers just sit back, delegate their work to senior members in the team and asks qs in scrum. BA are of no use, Devs,QAs themselves have to groom most of the stories. One BA is so fake that he creates a picture that he is doing innovation and in reality he does not know anything. Just praising senior mgmt and mouth licking, driving innovation pillar being absolute fake, talkative and immature. This BA interfers engg, QA teams and assigns any tasks by himself. He is the BA who is backed by mngrs to unload themselves, to get their conspiracies done without getting into the light. Some managers are just puppets, will just act like scrum masters, wont do any work, wont help team, will enjoy free salary. They will just announce winners of the challenge but will not pay actually till 5-6 months. India leadership shows up when Medidata leadership comes. Just presents fake pictures by telling we are doing this n that, some fake innovation and praise them. No vision, no foreseeable vision, no direction, just icreasing employee count to get more money from US. Many employees are joining from any company which has degraded the work culture. Some managers are micromanaging while others have just left on the shoulders of senior members in the team. Many good employees, good managers have left the brand and company. Attrition rates has grown to its highest. HR is just another puppet. Though all such things were reported, they didnt take a single action. Sr HR just asked fresher Jr HR to setup meeting on her behalf and just have simple discussion with each one 1:1. Officially designated HR is the Sr HR but never connects. WORST COMPANY.

I'd say I get to work on wayy more technical problems than any of my highly paid friends in Adobe/Atlassian/Microsoft and even Google. Our department has smart people with varying sets of personalities and you'll learn a lot about dealing with different kinds of people. I learnt the importance of good communication in such scenarios. Company doesn't care about your engineering background - most of the company is mechanical/EC/civil engineers writing software and only few of us CS guys, but instead selects people based on problem-solving approach and 'engineering mindset'. I agree with this approach.

Money really is bad. I love *most* of my work but it makes me feel with such pay making a career at this company (or thinking of setting up roots in Pune - buying house/getting married etc) is not at all sustainable. It can be a good job for people who already live/have family in Pune with lesser financial obligations but not so much for non-natives. No matter how smart you are or the ideas you propose - they're squashed down by local management before even going to french counterparts. You'll be explicitly told to generate and share ideas - but when you do, they'll be discarded with poor reasons. It's quite frustrating sometimes. This might depend upon the team, but in my case the french counterparts are not much useful either. They are opaque in communication and not open to receving new proposals. Generally they assign projects to us and that's it - followed by weekly status update meetings.
