Salary Expectations
I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

The managing director Venus Patel is absolutely rude, disrespectful and a tyrant. In the office, he used to say that he requires pin drop silence. It was a small cabin and when we used to discuss SEO or other things, he would send across a message on Slack to keep quiet. And later on, he would complain that there is no collaboration in the office. I was the only writer there and they made me write 10,000 words in a day. They considered me a typewriter and they overburdened. If I wasn't able to deliver, they used to threaten me. They had no seperate washrooms for women employees, Hygiene was questionable in the office premise, and whatnot. It was a nightmare working there.
